Actif Epica

I feel like it's been a long time since I've done an ultra. I've been thinking the sooner the better so why not start the year off with a winter one.  Actif Epica is a challenging self-supported ultra-endurance race in extreme trail and weather conditions in southeastern Manitoba. 130 km of winter across the sparkling southeastern Manitoba prairie on the historic Crow Wing Trail (part of the Trans Canada Trail). The race starts in St. Malo and finishes in St. Boniface.

Icy temperatures, windswept trails, big skies and huge landscapes will challenge ultra-endurance racers on a course that will take 8-25 hours to complete (for those who are able to complete it).  This race was inspired by the Arrowhead 135

So if your sitting there thinking "Hey I'd like to do that!" you can sign up thru Trail Run Manitoba.
